W. R. Bob Johnston
Founder:
The knowledge
and experience that he provides to our company has been the foundation for our
success. His desire to produce and
market the best quality produce possible has become “contagious” throughout the
company’s staff. His persistence in
achieving the goals that we set out to accomplish keeps the spirit and desire
in all of our hearts pumping. He grew
up on the family farm and started farming alfalfa on his own at the age of
21. His produce experience began a
couple of years later with his first crop of head lettuce grown in 1959. He enjoys spending time with his
grandchildren, gambling, researching new technologies in the industry and
helping out wherever he can within the company.
Randall S. Johnston
President:
Randy has become
the president of the company since March of 1999. His involvement in Fordel, Inc. started in the summer of 1988 as
a quality control inspector for the melons.
He is involved in all aspects of the company from the growing, packing,
shipping and marketing of the produce.
He started fulltime with the company in early 1992 after his college
completion at Fresno State University.
His late “great-uncle” and father have been an inspiration and book of
knowledge in his development as a farmer and manager.

W. R. Johnston II
Vice-President:
Bobby has been
the Vice-President of the company since 1988.
He has been involved in the management of the company for the last 12
years. He currently serves on the
Board of Directors and continues to be involved in the operation. His experience in the produce began in 1979
when he started working in the packing shed and field for Silver Creek packing
in Mendota.
